Arkansas here I come...

Yay! Another day closer and I'm really jumping out of my seat, clothes, and skin!!
Now, if I could only finish packing...I'm in what I call phase 2 of I don't know how many phases yet...but it's the in between yucky phase of pairing together, shorts vs dresses, jeans vs camos, and keeping it all under 40 lbs...this is why it takes me a week to pack...i get frustrated and have to walk away from it all...breath in, breath out ahhh sigh.

THIS IS REALLY HARD... packing ... do I really need 4 pair of shoes? I have been over and over this time and time again..heels for the plane to look sexy, sandals, tennis shoes, and my boots...Thank God for Jess...we have narrowed it down to 3 - no boots.. I think I can manage with just one pair of heels, sandals, and tennis shoes...I think..hopefully that will suffice for a 5 day event..yes?

Well, at least I have my pj's, workout clothes, shoes, and panties figured out...maybe I should just wear that all weekend..lol. Maybe I should just take one pair of shorts, one pair of jeans, and then like 2-3 dresses...oohhh that sounds like a plan...i need to write this down...I still haven't figured out what to wear to the concert?? What do people wear in Little Rock? Is it going to be hot at night? or cool on the river? will it rain? ugg hope not...jeans or dress? that's the question for the show...hmmmm...I'm thinking since I wore jeans last time, a dress would work...but now I have been informed that dresses and cowboy boots do not go together?!?!? WTF? Oh right, I'm not packing my boots anyways...Oh God..so my sandals are going to have to be Ultra Ultra Versatile...ugghg the pressure...I have to stop thinking about this whole packing ordeal and focus on something else for an hour or so...

Let me see? what's the count down now?? I wish I could call Matty..he has a countdown on his phone down to the second :) :) !!!! My countdown is just rounding.. 57 hours and 45 minutes!! OMG OMG OMG OMG OM GOM GOM GOMG I can't wait!!! EEEKKKEKKEKKKKKKK!!

Arkansas Count Down

                
It's gone from weeks to days to mere hours now!!! As of right now it is 82 hours until I land in the great state of Arkansas...Since this is my first time going to AR I have been googling what to do in Little Rock, besides see my favorite band American Aquarium play!!! Hmmmm how convenient they're playing the same weekend I'm going hahahehehehheh..so we decided on visiting the zoo one day!! Love it! And I found the Rocktown Distillery which sounds fun...lots of Mtns to climb and hike and some star gazing thing Friday night...the only other thing I know about the great state of AR is they have a huge BIG DAM BRIGDE and Bill Clinton's was born there...I wonder what the state motto is...hold on let me google this ..hahah this is a funny one "the people rule"! I like it!!!
Other interesting facts I have learned about AR:

*Name for residents - Arkansans
*Major industries - agriculture (chickens, soybeans, rice, cotten), paper & wood products, electronic equipment, mining (aluminum & diamonds).
*Bordering states include - Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas..dang.
*State Nickname - The Natural State
*State Bird - Mockingbird
*State Tree - Pine Tree
*state Beverage - Milk
*State Instrument - Fiddle
*AR is the only state in the USA where diamonds have been found!

Now, here are some strange laws in AR I came across:

*It is illegal for a person to sound the horn on a vehicle at any place where cold drinks or sandwiches are served after 9:00 P.M. 
*My favorite law is one designed to get Northerners into trouble. That's right folks, if you mispronounce Arkansas (Ar-kan-saw) you're in for a fine or jail time. 
*In Little Rock, flirtation between men and women on the streets may result in a 30-day jail term. 
*Oral sex is considered sodomy in Arkansas and is punishable.
*Animals in Arkansas get the weirdest laws. If you live in Arkansas, you may not keep an alligator in your bathtub. I guess lawmakers saw the move Alligator once too often.
*Dog owners in Little Rock beware! If your dog barks after 6 PM you can be fined. The dog can be impounded.
*Cow owners should take heed too. Bessie may need her exercise but even cows deserve Sunday's off. It's unlawful to walk your cow after 1:00 on Sundays.
*There is a law that states female teachers who bob their hair cannot be given a raise. *Even more degrading is an old law that states a man can beat his wife in Little Rock provided he does it with a stick no bigger than 3 inches across and not more than once a month.
                            
This is one of the only maps I found with Morrilton on it.. that's where I'll be the first night or two.. then back to Little Rock. I'm so excited to see a different state and more importantly visit my boyfriend!! YAY! I will take lots of pics don't worry. And will blog religiously before I go and when I return..enjoy the countdown! OMG OMG OMG I'm too excited to think or work eeeekkkk.

I now remember...

I now remember why I started my sabbatical from drinking...I enjoy waking up early and not feeling like I was run over by a mac truck with chicken lights and chrome. Oh boy! And as my age increases it seems to be taking longer to recuperate from a night out with the kids. I didn't move from the couch all day yesterday except to finish a few chores before HB returned home..and to cook some food...i basically was a beach bum this weekend...every now and then I guess is ok, but I couldn't do it every weekend.. I feel like there's is too much to get accomplished then just laying around...

The weekend was a blast though!! Amber and Nat!! So awesome to see you and show ya'll a bit of EI!!! Although we didn't make it to the Eclub, we did manage quite a bit...beach day, Mexican food/margarita's, fires, Wii Dancing, Paddy's...bike rides...it was a great weekend!! If it wasn't for my scorching sunburn on my back and rear, I'd be great this morning..it looks like I have a white bathing suit on...uggg I am smarting then this...why oh why did we not use sunscreen...oh right, because I wanted to get nice and tan before Arkansas..idoit..

...oh and back on my sabbatical too...ugggg..I've realized yes I like my vodka and jack, but if I had to choose It would be a nice small glass of wine...yep the age factor is kicking in...oh well. I'm ok with it. I'd rather get up with the sun and go yoga on the beach then sleep till 1130 which is exactly what happened this weekend...oh well.. back to my regular routine this week!! Well that is until Thursday when I'll be jet setting to Arkansas to see Matty and G'money and Nat again!!! Hoping to run into her at the airport in Atlanta!! :)

ALL and all great weekend, got to kick it with the EI homies and dance my ass off!! But nothings going to make me as happy as it will when I see Matty at the airport Thursday night :) Muwah.

too busy to blog

Ok, soooo appartently someone thinks I need to get back on the blogging train and blog everyday...hmmmm I would loooove too, however just like everything else.. life happens. And now that it's becoming 80degrees outside, I'd rather be outside then sitting at a desk or hiding in my room blogging.. I'm actually out here living my life.. but I will appease him and try to blog more often..it's not that I don't want to blog, it's just by the time I sit down, the blogs gone.. and that's when I have the time to sit...lately it's been ...work, home for a few to pee, change clothes give Drake and Tank some love and out the door for vb, yoga, or groceries.. and by the time I get home it's laundry, shower, cook a bite to eat, watch one hour of a show.. my poor poor dvr has been neglected forever and is going to start deleting shows.. :( So I will try and find time to blog... lunch break I guess..ugg that would be good because I have been thinking I need to eat less at work. Even though I have been enjoying my lunch breaks with Jess out in the common area...we'll see.. oohhh About to go paddle boat with the navy peeps for PT today!! yay!! this should be fun!!! saweet an extra workout!! NICCCE! Yoga this morning, paddle boat in the afternoon.. maybe some sunset yoga on the beach later.. back to EI for another fun filled weekend.. gotta go...no time... 5 days and a wake up until Arkansas and MATTY!!!!

New Years Update

New years resolutions update:
still a veggie !! Which makes me very gassy...lol
No fast food...I've enjoyed cooking more and having my driver's side window broken helps too..by not going through a drive thru! HA
Drank 4 times in January, Drank a few nights in February, took another sabbatical until last weekend St Patty's Fest, drank some beers and wine Saturday and Sunday...had some wine the last two nights too..but from the same bottle... so not over doing it.. prob finish the bottle tonight, then no booze until this weekend.. uh ohhhh yep, the girls are coming to EI....gonna kick it.. hahahhaha then back on sabbatical..until ARKANSAS!!!!! 7 days and a wake up before I fly out to see my sweetness!  OMG that's getting close!!!

I'd like to run more, and yoga more..but that's about it...

New Projects.

New Project -

So, I have thought of a new project for myself, because lets face it..I get bored easily and need something quick and cheap to do...well make that two new projects...

the first one has been done before, I've always thought it was kinda neat so starting April 10th, 2011 I will be taking one picture a day of myself..well maybe two for one whole year to record my "aging" process. I'd like to see how different if any I am going to look after one year. This is also motivation for me to not look so fat in pictures and try and tackle my double chin...I think though it might be fun or scary if I did two a day...one when I wake up/with out my "face" on, and one when I do have my "face" on and am not scary small children...then again that might be too much...maybe I will just stick to one a day... I mean we ARE talking about 365 pictures...hmmmmmmmmmm and then I can blog about it as well!! AND post pictures periodically...ooohhhhh.

I'm thinking this will be a fun little side project I can work on everyday as it will be my last year in my 20's....uggg just admitting that out is dreadful...I am still seriously thinking I will just start going backwards and have my "27th" bday this year.. and holding lol... I like that number, it looks nice, it's a good fit!



Second project - start running like there's no tomorrow.. At yoga last night, one of the girls was talking about her training for a 1/2 marathon...WTF I said...are you crazy? that's like 13 miles...and you're gonna RUN IT???! I was totally and completely baffled by this..and then, come to find out this is like her 4th or 5th one.. she said oh yeah, I do one a year...WTF..WTF...has everyone gone mad??? I mean I know people do it and love it...but to be sitting next to someone who is about to run 13.1 miles in 10 days is just CRAZY.. I told her, I mean I've thought about doing like a 5K (3.1 miles), but 13.1???? Fuck that.. but now my competitive side is kicking in, and I think my bucket list just received one more item...yep folks.. I wanna do a 5K and run it...I tell people, oh yeah I use to run cross country and run 5 days a week when i was a FRESHMAN...innnnnnnnnnnnnn HIGH SCHOOL.. then they chuckle... ummmmmmmmmmmhmmmm NOT funny...i don't care if that was 10 years..oh shit wait...it wasn't 10 years ago.. shit it's been 15 years since I was a freshman.. Ooooohhh God!!
Alright, anywayssssssssssssssssssssssssss.......

So yeah. There it is ----- my two new inexpensive projects...just to add on to my already other shit I do..hhhahaahahaa.. gotta stay moving.

No texting before COFFEE

Finally! Something to blog about ----- hahahahah I love when fucked up shit happens before 5am bc now I have more to blog about ..so yesterday I woke up at my usual 405am...let the dogs out, feed the cats, feed and water the dogs, start the coffee, and head back to my favorite room in the house --- my bathroom! Got my jams going, news on...see my phone blinking..I just thought I had missed an alarm...oh but NOooooooo it was not one but 3 text from the ex. what now? I thought.. great he's drunk and drunk texting...doesn't his friends know it's not cool to let friends text drunk.. geeze, oh well. The funny thing is, I had totally forgotten his phone number until I saw it.. funny how that works.. muscle memory I guess. It wasn't a bad text I guess.. something like, "Plz don't be mad @ me...I can't play vb with u and still sleep @ night...I'm not trying to be petty or mean...I just can't do it...I want you to be happy I really do..I'm sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you."

hmmmm ----- that's what I first thought, but then I realized I hadn't had my morning coffee yet, and should not be making texting decisions before hand.. so back to the kitchen, a few deep breaths, and some morning jams to help clear my head..then I looked in the mirror, and smiled from ear to ear, chuckled really. WHO CARES!!! I've moved on my friend, quite easily might I add. I've found my ONE, and it sure as hell wasn't him...I'm so happy, it's ooozzing out of my finger tips! Just the thought of Matty lately makes my knees weak, my eyes light up, and that stupid in love grin from ear to ear!!!
Oh, so I replied with a clear head.."no worries, it was kinda shitty how I found out (about the vb and all), but it's cool...i'm still playing 3 nights. btw I am happy, extremely happy!! thx"

The first text I'm reveling was sent only 5 days after we met...here's the short version..g'money brought Matty down for new years and to meet his awesome friend at the beach - me! So we all kicked it at the Palm Room the night before new years eve...then we kicked it together new years eve night, rang in the new year and the rest is history.. so here's the text 5 days after we met:

So, you can see how amazing he is, how wonderful, and how lucky and excited I am to be with him!! Grow up ass hole

A lot has been happening in the last week...and I just haven't found the time to blog, however Friday I was feeling very much so to vent off some steam...I did not...I think I have gotten it all out though...I left some just for today ...heheheh but more on that in a minute.

On a lighter note, it's now just 18 days until I fly out to see Matty! It's not getting easier being apart, I still break down and have my emo moments, and  the weekends are good and bad. I get to talk with him all day and text...and I think we've finally gotten down the schedule during the week...we get to wake up talking to each other me as I'm otw to work and him as he's just waking up...I still forget sometimes he's an hour behind me...and then when he gets off he always calls, and once before bed...or as we're both lying in bed. I love he's the last voice I hear before I fall asleep. oooooh and I found my smallest suitcase, measured it all out, and I'm ready to try and pack only a carry on for my flight..i know right, seems impossible for ME!! I'm determined though not to check my bags...so this weekend when I venture to EI, I will be doing a trial run with the "packing light" ordeal...heheheh 

I'm hoping to step up the work out this week and run with the navy peeps at work.. since I have not insanity...just vb and yoga...the weekends have been dedicated to cleaning, laundry, dogs, catching up on tv, sleep, and VOLLEYBALL. 

Ok, so on to the venting...and yep, you guessed it...has to do with the ex, which btw I am deleting/blocking from reading my blogs.. You don't want me to play on the vb team with you...the one we won the tournament with, so I am blocking you entirely from my life...no more blogs for you ass hole. It's the final straw, the cutting of the last of the umbilical cord. So friday was the "get in line to get a ticket" for vb day...which usually for the past few seasons I have been the one to handle it or helped him with it.. so I get a call from my girl Jamie, and she's talking about he's in line, but needs someone to go in the am and finish signing us up..i was like i can do it whatever...she then calls me back and says dude...i'm not sure he really wants you on the team...WTF, really dude? after about a month ago you told one of our teammates it's fine, i'm on the team, no problem..I thought for once you could be a man and put aside our differences for the love of VB...guess not, guess some things NEVER CHANGE AND NEVER WILL. So if I would have known this then I could have played with my other current team with vb guy...but nooooooooo thank goodness I have a back up back up...I get to play with my girl Kerri!!! SO EXCITED TO PLAY with her again.. been a while! so no worries...and it's probably a good thing. And besides...he can't hide from me forever.. we're playing on the same night...same league, so I get to KICK his ASS hopefully the both times we play against each other!! suck on that ASS HOLE 

Ahh ok, I feel much much better...
