Day 6

Day 6...fucking everything went wrong this morning.. not only is the heat downstairs out, that's not the problem.. i'm dealing with that and using my Netti pot for my sinus drip...but as I was in the shower this morning la la la shower shower shower my light went out in my shower.. geeze a pete.. I just thought well it's been 5 years, the lights out..now how do I change the damn thing?? Then, I heard my not one but two of my heaters stopped..hmmm My first thought was there is a serial killer turning off my lights waiting to slit my throat...but I continued my shower anyways. I got out, unplugged the heaters, then peeked my head outside my bathroom door into my bedroom to make sure the serial killer hadn't gotten my doggies. Luckily they were sound asleep in my bed..damn guard dogs..hahaha so then I put my robe on, head to the kitchen to make tea, turn on my laptop to duh check my fb...and BAM no Internet..What the FUCK? Oh well, got my tea and back to the bathroom where mind you only my main lights are working. No closet light, no toilet light, no outlets...but it's cool, I can manage..so no Internet means no Pandora in the morning along with the news so I said screw it MTV it is..WHOA.. they do still play music..just at 5am :) After getting ready, I went into the computer room to investigate the no Internet situation..ohhh we got a

usually I can "re-adjust" something and it works...but nooooo not this time.. so I said screw it...yelled up at my roommate said I'm not dealing with this right now.. she came down, went to the garage, flipped a switch and presto-chango every thing works again! yay! I was even able to fb for a few minutes while my car heated up and sipped on some yummy tea. But wait there's more.. hahaha I'm walking out to my car with my 4 inch heels, two bags, coat on, book in tow, when I hear my jam!! I was like sweet my jam's on the radio unst unst unst...then I started vibrating.. damn phone.. who the hell is calling me at 5:55am? I get settled in the car, seat warmers on to find out it was my girl needing a ride to work! hahahah no worries otw be ready :) Now the only bad outcome of the morning is I forgot to put my freaking mascara on...shit.. this is like the one thing I need you know.. i guess i'll have to wing it today or go buy a new one..uggg. But I haven't even wanted a cigarette!! yeah!

Possible dinner date tonight too!! whoo hoo this day is shaping up to be GREAT! 

...Well no dinner date, but I did catch up with some peeps after work...mainly to get signatures for the PLUNGE, but I did squeeze a Coffee break in there too! :) Then I couldn't resist, as I was rounding the corner of the coffee shop, there is was...the mecca of Fresh food - the FRESH MARKET!! It was calling my name, so I dove right in and found dinner! yum, all raw delicious foods! mozzarella balls, mushrooms, artichokes, yum! 


Ohh and I did hear from "dog cop" guy and Oklahoma...just a few text back and forth..but whatever...We'll see who comes out for the PLUNGE.

Text of the day: "not sure when the rock n roll pain train is gonna take off"...hahahahaaa Love love love my country boys!! hahahah OH Yeah.. they're otw to town, AGAIN!!! I can't wait to see them...won't be tonight though, it's JERSEY SHORE and bed time soon, but tomorrow it's ON!!!! Can't wait to see you guys! :) 

So, No ALcohol, no smokes (although I did crave one twice today in the car. I saw someone next to me smoking and I was like ahhh that looks good, but then I made myself look away and the light turned green), No meat, No fast food, and I worked out! 

Well, I guess that's it..besides the passive aggressive LDB at work...but I consulted with my work peeps, and handled it with class! hahaah Go me!

Day 5

Day 5 Complete! No Alcohol, No cigarettes, No Meat, No fast food, walked for 27 minutes, yoga for an hour...whooo hooooo now if I could only get to bed early ha. 

I didn't even want to smoke today! whoo hooo. The real test will be this weekend when the party starts....but I'll get back to that.. 

So when I got home from work surprise surprise it's already dark...it's freaking 5:30pm are you serious?!?!? I hate winter. When it's already dark outside it's so easy to just come home and go straight to cooking dinner and tv and being warm with some hot cocoa or glass of wine and just melt into the night..hmmmm but you know what I did? I got home, went straight for my bedroom (where by the way is not where the magic is happening at the moment) stripped off my work clothes grabbed for my sports bra, socks, sweats, 3 shirts, sweat shirt, scarf, hat, gloves and leashed up the kids and hit the pavement for a nice brisk evening walk! It's not running, but it gets the blood going for yoga :) I thought to myself yeah it's cold outside and that's a great excuse to not go outside and walk but I freaking play volleyball in colder weather and in the rain than this.. so why the hell not get out there and freaking walk?! Besides, volleyball starts back up in a month so back to training heheheh! 


After my lil workout it was onto salad and tofu and of course cheese!! yum..i figure if I'm gonna do this i'm gonna do it right.. eat right, take care of my body, watch what goes in like no booze, no chemicals, no meat...then by Mardi Gras, or my bday I should be a lean mean yoga/volleyball machine :) 


Ok enough about my boring diet and exercise babble.. i know i know you are dying to hear about my latest hmmm how do i put it...my latest dating 101..it really is kinda hard getting back out there meeting people not in a bar...gosh that sounds awful, but soooo true. My last boyfriend I met in a bar and we see how well that ended after a year and a half...pfffft. No hard feelings though, we were just in different places in our lives and I was ready to move forward. And boy have I been trying.. hahahah.. let's see...just last week it was lunch twice with "dog cop", then new years with my country boys and waterhouse! This week so far it's been sushi with CB veggie guy....when all i really want is to see Oklahoma guy...but when it's meant to be it will happen. I like going on lil lunch dates though.. chit chat for a few, eat lunch, meet someone new, then back to work...ha... it doesn't even take up anytime in my day..."dog cop" guy is cool, but no call back...booooo. Sushi was fun monday, but again.. not too much from him since, but it's only wed.. so no biggie. I'm just out of the loop in the whole dating scene. Like sometimes after lunch or dinner I'm like well do I shake his hand or give him a hug? I just don't know.. so for now I just play it by ear..we'll see how that goes. But now i'm getting tired of eating hahaha...lets go play tennis or take my pups to the loop...get out and DO SOMETHING!!


Well the real exciting adventure this weekend is the POLAR PLUNGE!! what what?!?!?!?!? I can't wait to dress up in costumes and jump into the freezing cold water with my friends and co-workers all for the Special Olympics! whoo hooo And I got mad peeps coming out, so excited. Excited to see my country boys again too, and hopefully Oklahoma boy will come out of hiding and say heeeeeeey ;) well that's enough babble for tonight..

Day 4

OMG so I hit a mother fucking deer this morning otw to work.. WTF!!!! Well, it was already dead, but still... uggggg It was just laying there in the middle of the road, taking up the whole lane, and of course the road is dark at 6am...can't see the damn thing until I'm right on top of it, oh well at least My Silver Bullet was..Good Ole Bug!! She's a beauty.. gotten me through a lot - one divorce, two deers, a little bumper to bumper on college rd...I still am thinking about trading her in though.. i need something a lil better on gas.. a hybrid, a jetta...I think I might be ready for a change, but I won't tell her that just yet..shhhh.

On a lighter note, no cravings today! Well, so far anyways :)

OMG so today was busy busy busy... felt like someone spiked my coffee..I had so much freakin energy...i was running around, getting shit done!! Felt good..  full day tomorrow too, but at least it will go by fast! Can't wait for the weekend...well thursday for that matter!!! The Country is coming back... they just can't get enough of us at the beach!!! I love love love my country boys!!! 

Had a great night with momma dukes...she's a lil sick..but we had a great chat...prob because I'm so hopped up on my energy buzz hahahaha..anyways.. NO alcohol, no smokes, no meat, no fast food...so far so good.. getting easier!! staying  busy helps :)

Day 3...

I really really really wanted a cigarette at like 6:15am this morning omw to work...thank God I didn't have any.. really? it's gonna be like this everyday? uggggggggg hopefully momma dukes will hook it up on the patches ASAP!

works good, not too stressful.. polar plunge this weekend, testing for school, lining up some dates...hopefully :) mardi gras planning..

the no alcohol and meat are pretty easy so far.. i like veggies anyways :) ooohhh and the yoga studio is having a special this month.. i have to get over there asap..i like my old routine of going straight to the studio after work..that way no excuses for not working out!

i miss my hb. 

OMG I FEEL GREAT!! Just got done working out! whoo hooo I don't even want a smoke! I feel like I have been so productive today...after work hit up some starbucks, cleaned out my car, date night dt with some sushi!!! then home to walk the dogs for 17min and some hard core yoga for 50min....it may not sound like much, but I feel great.. everyone should do yoga :) ok now onto some new Intervention.. good night all

Day 2

So day 2..

well when I was out and about driving around I really really wanted a cigarette.. and if I had one I probably would have smoked it..but I didn't. But I really wanted one...then some of the fam came over and brought me a bottle of wine :( I just looked at it..put it in my wine cooler and said it'll be there come March...THEN..i had to cook them steaks...even though i'm not eating meat...i still can grill a mean steak...I wonder if tofu is good on the grill?!


Now my day is ending and I didn't smoke or drink, and I took a bath!! yum. ALthough I didn't "work out" I did chase after my 9yo cousin for 3 hours.. so that may count.. tomorrow I'm working out for sure....I just have to decide if it's going to be before sushi or after...hmmmmmm


Ohh and I re-discovered my love for green tea; a great compliment to a warm bubble bath. Well good night all. and welcome my new followers ;)

Day 1

Day 1

So I survived day one with no alcohol or smokes...but i guess it's pretty easy to do when you're hungover most of the day, and slept the rest.. Dang.. I am getting older. At least I'm starting to feel it anyways.. ugggg. 

Oh well~ It's a new year mother fuckers!! So the goal I guess is to blog every night and talk about how I'm keeping my new year's resolutions....and how hard it is not drinking...less drinking more doing other shit i need to get done!! 

So, I did accomplish the whole not drinking and smoking, however didn't work out - unless you count taking down the Christmas lights as cardio..guess not. but i do see a bath in my future tonight yay! I guess that's it...
